I bet you've seen the Hot Off the Press templates hanging in the store and never gave them a second glance.
Well I'm going to show you how valuable these templates can be! First let's take a look at the "Bead Maker" stencil. This stencil helps you create paper beads for jewelry making. But what else can you do with this stencil?
You can make beads:
Necklace by Hot Off the Press
You can add them to cards:
Or you can use it to create different types of embellishments. How about jungle leaves, flags, waves, or birthday horns as shown below!
You'll need the Bead Maker Stencil, a Q-Tip, The Best Glue Ever (or another strong liquid adhesive), scissors, and paper.
First you'll start by tracing the bead shape desired on to the BACK of the paper you'll be using to create your embellishment. Then cut out. (for the party horns you'll need to cut the smallest part of the paper off, about a 1/2 to 1 inch)
Next take your Q-Tip and cut one end off
Starting with the larger end first begin rolling the paper onto the Q-Tip. Roll the paper until it's tightly wound on to the Q-Tip.
Next pull it off, and slightly stretch it out. Then your going to kinda of bend it back and forth with a little pressure to make it really wavy keeping the end curled up.
Once we get them down on paper they will look like party horns!
I used the Scalloped frames to make my background...LOVE THIS STENCIL!
It traces out a scalloped frame from 7/8" to 11 1/2". Trace and Cut.
Next is the Easy Stitches Stencil. Who doesn't love stitches! It has 16 different Stitches for you to use on your projects.
I used it by tracing the stitches I wanted and then using that as my guide to go over it with Stickles.
I hope you'll give this product a try and let us know what you created with them!
