I love this color sample because it's the perfect combination of cool and warm colors! Why not try them on a gift, or something decorative for your home.
Here's a cute little sign to remind myself to be Happy with the things around me instead of being in constant pursuit of it. Just breathe, pause, and let the happiness of whats around me settle on to me like a butterfly on my shoulder.
It Says:
Happiness is like a butterfly. Which, when pursued is always beyond our grasp. But if you will sit down quietly, it may settle upon you.
Use the color palette, and find a quote that means allot to you. Something you can look at and be inspired by everyday!

For Fabulous friday video this week you'll get a video from Me!
It's my first so be kind . . . : )
I messed up with the font size, but hopefully you won't notice. You will however notice at the end of the video I spelled my OWN NAME WRONG! I spelled Purdie, Pudie. Awesome! Isn't there some saying about adding mistakes purposefully to your art work to show that human error is divine.....ya.....that's what I did.
*NOTE*
All the mistakes you are about to see were purposefully inserted into the video with the specific intent to empower woman that it's ok to make mistakes!
For my video I decided to show you how to make a colorful gradient using dreamweaver stencil paste, ranger alcohol inks, and crafter's workshop stencils .

Today we are celebrating me! . . . . Awkward! So I guess I will tell you my story. I am a stay at home mom to a blended family of 9 children. Yes...you read that correctly. I have 9 children and 3 son-in-laws, and 1 beautiful granddaughter. A few of my children must deal with the effects of Autism and Bi-Polar. It's challenging for them, but they have beautiful spirits and strength beyond their years. I love my big, chaotic family!
I have been a scrapbook teacher and designer for 15 years. Over the years I have worked with lots and lots of stores, as well as taught thousands of women at conferences and scrapbook stores. However. . . By far my favorite part of my career has been designing and getting to know so many talented women. It's what I love most about scrapbooking. The instant connection with other ladies, sharing ideas, supporting an inspiring each other. It's like one giant slumber party! After teaching for so long I decided I wanted to branch out and try my hand at creating my own lines. I signed with Creative Imaginations and worked with them to make and create three of my own lines. The lines I created with them are: I'm Pregnant, I'm Adopted, and my fav Spit Up Couture! The whole concept behind the lines is "Keepin' it Real". Everything has truth in it with a large dose of humor! They have been in scrapbook stores and Michaels's around the United States.
Currently I have been freelancing at home. I still design for Stacy's scrapbook store and design different pieces for clients. I really love the variety of it all. I love that now I am blessed to be able to paint, create sculptures, create gifts for my clients all from my studio at home. I love the everyday variety of it. I have my own blog, as well as creating the blog postings for Stacy's Scrap Shack
Some of my Lines:
*Notice my favorite sticker on this one..."The morning commute" *
Here is a really fun project I made with this line. It's a folder of mini albums that house my pregnancy test (Ok...a blank one that I marked pregnant, I just couldn't put the real one in) and a book for each month of my pregnancy. Some months I didn't have any photos, so I just used stock photos from the internet!
I have to show you my favorite paper from "Spit Up Couture", because it's so fun . . .
I recently took a class where you had to bring a painting by an artist you were inspired by and re-create their painting. It works because your able to follow something without thinking about it, and it has a way of unblocking you. I chose a painting by Lisa Walsh. You can see her blog here.
Here is my painting. By the way it did help, totally unblocked me:
Here's some samples of ALL the things I like to dabble in. From ATC's Cards, scrapbooking, painting, sketching, photography and PARTIES! (if you knew me, you would see how this makes sense because I'm kinda all over the place. I'm that dog in the movie "UP" who in mid sentence will stop talking and say . . . "Squirrel!")
So that's me in a nutshell, wife, mother, friend, artist and all around crafting spaz!

Hey Blog Followers!
I just wanted to let you know first that I am putting up the Shack for sale. IT IS NOT CLOSING! I will be here for sure until November 2013 if I don't find a buyer! I love this place, but I am finding it more and more difficult to be a mom to my two boys and own this store. This is what I debated last year, and while I went through store closing procedures my wonderful customers talked me out of it. This store is much needed in Lincoln City and on the Oregon Coast and it is fun. But because of my personality and work ethic, it is hard for me to balance it and being a single mom! And yes, I am still commuting 2 hours every day from McMinnville and that is hard as well!
If you or anyone you know might be interested in this business, you can drop me a line at [email protected] . This is not a desperate situation and I am not asking for pennies on the dollar. The store is performing like it has since its inception and clientele is being expanded since we decided to do more web outreach and social media. I will continue to give the store my all, like I have, but if someone is interested I will definitely talk to them. This store doesn't make millions either. It is hard work. The winters are slow and the summers are crazy. If someone is web savvy they could probably turn their winters into equally crazy as summers, which is what I hope to do with some help! Also, it is really important that you like the Oregon Coast weather. 'Cause it is CRAZIER than inland weather.
I just wanted you to hear it from me first! And don't tell anyone I am closing, because I am not going anywhere. In fact, I will continue to grow this business and make it better and better, because that is what I want to do. Hugs.... Stacy

She's a wonder to watch in the store interacting with customers. She is kind, helpful, and most of all authentic. She loves photography, and her boys are her favorite subject to photograph because they are so darned cute!
