We are taking a break on the blog for a while. Our kids are out of school (WOO HOO) and we are enjoying the SUN, since it finally made a debut in Oregon.
We will get back into blog postings in August. You can fan our facebook page at www.facebook.com/stacysscrapshack and see all the new wonderful stuff coming into the shop while we take our summer break!
Play. Enjoy the weather. Enjoy your family, your kids, your health. Create. Imagine.
My Minds Eye recently released this beautiful line called "Lush 2". The line comes in four colors and is completely monochromatic.
We carry all the colors: navy, turquoise, orange, and magenta.
Suzanne Sergi from My Minds Eye Design Team created this adorable project.

This week we're showcasing another line by Best Creations called "I love America"
It's absolutely perfect for scrapbooking your 4th memories, creating invites to 4th of July BBQ, or even party supplies. And remember to look at the close up sample to see how this paper really sparkles!
Have you seen the Marvy scalloped circle punch and wondered..."Why would a scalloped punch be essential in my scrapbooking tools?" We are going to show you why!
First I'm going to use a Definition background stamp, and stamp it on white paper. Next I'm going to punch out my flowers with the scalloped circle punch. I want to punch out about 5-6 flowers.
I want to add a little color to my flower, so I'm going to take out my Distress inks for my color. On one flower I will go really heavy with the color and then lighten the color as I distress each flower.
Finally we are ready to put our flowers together. Take your flowers and pierce a small hole through the middle of them. Next stack them on top of each other, stick a brad through and bend the end of the brad.
Your going to start crinkling each flower, starting with the top one, and work your way down.
Now place it on a card, layout, or just use your imagination!
Remember that teaser I put up yesterday about showing you how to make a card using 3 different techniques using shaving cream, the Cricut, and clear embossing powder . . .
Long story short: I will have to post it next week, because I hit my head and got knocked out. Taking the weekend to recover, hope you all understand. I had this video lined up for next week, so I thought I would play it today instead. Really relaxing way to color your stamps or digital images.
It's a wonderful tutorial by Shari Carroll showing how to use your distress inks as watercolors. Enjoy :)
